Parents’ Guide to PBR Baseball at LakePoint Sports

If you play travel baseball, at some point your path will lead to games with Prep Baseball Report (PBR) at LakePoint Sports in Cartersville Georgia. Cartersville is northwest of Atlanta and down the road from Perfect Games’ East Cobb facility. It has eight full size turf diamonds as well as football fields, sand volleyball courts and a basketball complex. A wakeboarding lake is onsite as well.

Hotels near the complex include the Hampton Inn at Emerson LakePoint and Sleep Inn at Cartersville. Chick-fil-a, Wendy’s, Arby’s, McDonalds and Taco Bell are across the street.

The facility welcomes you with a massive American flag. The entryway includes a handful of shops such as Baseballism. If you’re wondering, dogs and other pets aren’t allowed. Little sisters are; even if they don’t want to be.

The 2023 daily fees to watch baseball are $15 or $60 for the week. Children 10 and under are free. Online fees to watch the video stream are $15 per day as well.

Each of the fields has the same dimensions with centerfield at 385 feet. Mounds are turf, so be prepared for them to be slippery.

They have plenty of stadium plastic seats around the infield, so bringing chairs isn’t necessary. The turf diamonds drain really well and the center of the clover is covered to protect fans from rain. Games will likely resume even after very hard downpours.

Both clovers have food from Piedmont BBQ with the menu including the normal baseball fair plus pulled pork, wraps and wings. Overall, the food is good and hot dogs recommended.

The cinderblock dugouts are very nice and each field has its own cage and bullpen.

Good luck at your tournament.
