Head Coach Profile: Vanderbilt’s Tim Corbin

Tim Corbin is the current head coach of Vanderbilt University. He was inducted in the American Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020. Coach Corbin joined Vanderbilt in 2003 and transformed the Commodores into a national powerhouse. His record of 841-400-1 (.678) is first in winning percentage for coaches with 100 games or more.

Prior to Vanderbilt, Corbin played pivotal roles at Clemson University, initially as an assistant coach, achieving ACC titles and College World Series appearances.  Before Clemson, Corbin then led the baseball program at Presbyterian College for five years, earning South Atlantic Coach of the Year honors and guiding it through a transition to NCAA Division II.  Alongside his collegiate coaching, Corbin also made significant contributions to USA Baseball, serving as head coach for the National Team in 2006 and guiding them to success, including a historic tournament win on Cuban soil. He began his coaching career in 1985 at The Ohio State University, where he served as a graduate assistant.
