Elite High School Travel Baseball Schedule 2024

Though most of the 2024 travel season is over, this chart provides a good view of the key high school travel baseball events at both the team the individual level. The events are for the top teams and players in the country and includes USA Baseball, Perfect Game, Prep Baseball Report, East Coast Pro, Area Code and FSS Events.

Summer Team Schedule

In general, team events run June through mid-July and the individual events take over for several weeks from mid-July through August. The summer season kicks off with PBR’s National Program Invitational (NPI) in Atlanta followed by various PG events with World Wood Bat Association (WWBA) being the biggest, though hardly the best. WWBA could be in Atlanta or Hoover Alabama. USA Baseball’s National Team Championship’s is small in that it only includes sixteen teams or so, but provides the most elite competition of the year (at the Cary North Carolina location).

PBR Individual Events

As players transition to individual events, PBR’s Futures Games garners a lot of attention from college coaches since it’s scheduled shortly before the August 1st window to begin open recruiting of players. Junior Futures also has a high level group of players. PBR’s top event is the All American game which pits rising juniors against rising seniors.

Perfect Game Individual Events

The Perfect Game National Showcase for each age level is scattered across the summer at different times. It’s the path to the PG All Star game for juniors and a few sophomores and PG All American game for seniors. PG 14u Select Fest is the event for rising freshmen.

USA Baseball Individual Events

USA Baseball has two paths to its individual programming. The first is the National Team Identification Series (NTIS), which has trials at the state, then regional and finally national level. At each level, players have PDP metrics tested and play scrimmages. They’re then evaluated by scouts who decide who’s invited to the next level. The ultimate goal is to be invited to participate in the 15u or 18u National Team trials for a chance to be on the National Team. In off years, player are invited to the Athlete Development Program (ADP) for 14u or National Team Development Program (NTDP) for 16u or 17u.

East Coast Pro and Area Code Games

East Coast Pro (ECP) and Area Code Games (AC) are pre-draft events that are heavily scouted as a step towards the draft process. ECP is in Hoover Alabama while AC is in San Diego. Both require a tryout and/or scout recommendation. ECP is mostly for rising seniors while Area Codes have an Underclass AC and Upperclass AC event.

Fall Travel Events

With school in session, the Fall has fewer major events. PG’s WWBA at every level is considered the top one, which includes Freshman Worlds, Sophomore Worlds, Underclass Worlds and WWBA in Jupiter. Jupiter is the last travel event for seniors and known to be very heavily scouted as the last look at players before their spring high school season.
